SHOW YOUR FRONT END

When I take photos of people's rides, some of my favorite shots are the awesome front ends with the beautiful grills. With the new modern vehicles, the auto makers have lost the form of artwork in designing the front end of cars. In the 20's,30's,40's,50's and 60's, some of the most prestigous grills and bumpers were produced, which today cannot be matched. If you are a car nut like me, we can sit and look at a classic or custom designed grill for hours, many of which have been printed into posters. If you own one of these, I'll bet you just sit back and stare at the rare beauty after you have finished with the polishing cloth. I have a lot of respect for the auto designers of the past, and even more for the creators of custom streetrods, who have taken parts and pieces of stock grills and turned them into a masterpiece. If you have an awesome front end, please share it with us at http://www.outrageousrides.com/ , "Submit Your Ride". Looking forward to it!

It's Car Show Season

This is the time of the year we have all been looking for. Warm weather and car shows. I have been to quite a few shows here in the Pacific Northwest, and everyone is excited about the warm sunny weather we are having. It is surprising how many nice rides come out of the woodwork when we have a sunny day here. I enjoy talking to the young crowd with their tuner cars, and lowriders, customizing their rides, like the older generation has been doing for years. The young people are just as excited about this hobby, as the generations before them. What's really great is when you get the older generation talking with the younger generation. I recently went to a Pre-1954 car show in Tacoma, Washington, and visited with people about their older classics. There is a wealth of information available with the owners of these classics. The great thing is that they love to talk about the cars they own. Most owners will also help you out with any questions you have about the restoration and history of these cars. I usually have one of my sons,Aaron or one or more of my grandchildren help me out at the car shows, and they are having a blast. My point is that we need to involve our kids in the car show hobby. It's good clean fun and we are passing down a legacy to our kids. Check out my grandson Caleb, standing in front of that beautiful 1956 Chevy Pickup. Please check out all the rides at http://www.outrageousrides.com/ , and have a great car show season.

Welcome to The Show

After many weeks of sweat, "The Internet Auto Show" is here!!. I don't know how many of you have developed a website, but if you have its hats off to you. I started with the online auto show idea in April, and through trial and error, I finally made it. The original design did not work out, the one you have all been viewing, that did not do anything due to a total redesign. I wanted to have a website that was a class act, because I know all of the pride you have in your vehicles. I hope you all will find this site great, and will get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Please comment on the website here on the Blog, and let me know of what improvments you would like to see. I will personally read every comment. So lets get started!! Submit Your Rides! There will be an ongoing process of adding and improving this site, added videos of car shows etc. I will be visiting as many car shows as possible(starting in the Pacific Northwest) taking pictures and making videos. The most fun part is talking to the owners of all the vehicles. See You At The Show!

Online Auto Shows

Now that we have entered the digital era, we can share our vehicles with the Rest of the World over the Internet. Although the summer Auto shows are a blast, the show season is very short and we don't like to drive our pride and joy in bad weather. With the internet, we can share all our countless hours of hard work with the Rest of the World and show our pride all year long. This media also opens up an unlimited amount of ideas for building, restoring, and detailing our vehicles. An Internet Auto Show has been my dream for some time now, and now it is reality. So share your ideas and show your rides!

See you at the show!
